Zwölftel Blick: April

Es wird tatsächlich langsam Frühling. Ich habe auf einen passenden Tag gewartet und heute war er für das Bild genau richtig.

Diesmal gibt es den Text des britischen Songwriters Donovan. Es ist auf seinem Album A gift from a Flower to a Garden und wurde 1967 geschrieben. Ich finde die Lyrik zeitlos.

The Lullaby of Spring

Rain has showered far her drip,
Splash and trickle running,
Plant has flowered in the sand,
Shell and pebble sunning.

So begins another spring,
Green leaves and of berries,
Chiff-chaff eggs are painted by
Mother bird eating cherries.

In a misty tangled dky,
Fast a wind is blowing,
In a new born rabbit’s heart
River life is flowing.

So begins another spring,
Green leaves and of berries,
Chiff-chaff eggs are painted by
Mother bird eating cherries.

From the dark and whetted soil
Petals are unfolding,
From the stony village kirk
Easter bells of ring.

So begins another spring,
Green leaves and of berries,
Chiff-chaff eggs are painted by
Mother bird eating cherries.
